Capelle aan den Ijssel, 1st of February – For over 10 years Boomerweb has been supporting healthcare organisations to become better, safer and more future-proof with the help of digital solutions. The result: efficiency gains and quality improvements in care, and improved communication between care providers in the shared care around the client. More than 350 healthcare institutions and 650 pharmacies already make use of Boomerweb’s services. This supports the care of more than 120,000 patients.
Boomerweb provides a digital platform for mobile care solutions, including Medication Safety, Remote Care and Wound Care. Users of Boomerweb are healthcare institutions (VVT, GZ, GGZ), pharmacies (community pharmacy, service pharmacy, outpatient pharmacy, dispensing physician), prescribers (GP, specialist), clients and informal caregivers & medical specialty shops.
The combination of Enovation and Boomerweb means that professionals who want to collaborate will be able to do so even more easily and safely in the future. The products of both companies are highly complementary. This step creates a unique combination of services that not only provides a service for remote care, but is also fully integrated into the application landscape of healthcare providers. This will allow care providers to work together even more efficiently.
The combination will make Enovation even more committed to cooperation in healthcare by using e-health. The pressure on healthcare is increasing. Good cooperation between healthcare providers and with clients is essential in order to meet the increasing demand for efficiency. Enovation already provides remote care via Enovation UMO and cooperation in the context of eTransfer via Enovation POINT. Many institutions also use Enovation to provide information to customers through the VIPP processes. Through this acquisition, a more in-depth collaboration between both companies can be realized. The infrastructure expertise of Enovation and the front-end expertise of Boomerweb complement each other well and give the joint knowledge and skills about connections and integration a solid basis.
Jeroen van Rijswijk (CEO Enovation): “With the acquisition of Boomerweb we will be able to meet the growing need in the market for integrated E-health applications even better than before. Boomerweb is a leading E-health specialist with its heart in healthcare. This makes Boomerweb an important addition to the Enovation Platform. We believe that through better and more efficient cooperation within the healthcare sector, we can ensure that patients receive the care they need both now and in the future, despite the increasing pressure on the sector. The deployment of e-health solutions is indispensable in this respect.”
Willem Hendrik Gispen (CEO Boomerweb): “Through the acquisition we can ensure that the E-health solutions of Boomerweb are even better embedded in the IT care landscape of our customers. Enovation not only has a broad user base in the same healthcare verticals, but also has proven competencies, products and services in the field of infrastructure and communication. Together with Boomerweb’s mobile applications, these form a strong combination from which our customers will benefit in the future. Together, we enable a safe and more efficient execution of healthcare, with the right data in the right place, at greater convenience for healthcare providers. The cooperation with Enovation also provides new growth opportunities internationally, because the major challenges in healthcare – how to keep healthcare affordable and feasible – are not a problem that only occurs in the Netherlands.”
