The Hague, 16 November 2020 – Inergy, a software company active in performance management, planning & control software and data analytics, and du ROI Accountants Belastingadviseurs & IT Auditors, entered into a strategic partnership on November 13th. Part of the agreement is the partial sale of Gemstone to Inergy. Gemstone is a software application that allows a municipality to audit its financial administration to determine whether it is fiscally ‘in control’.
Inergy focuses increasingly on software applications for the semi-government market and aims to support municipalities to work more ‘data driven’. This gives municipalities access to better management information and better ‘grip’ on important domains such as business operations, the social domain and with the acquisition of Gemstone in the field of taxation.
Mathijs van Houweninge, CEO of Inergy: “Gemstone fills in an important part of the Horizontal Supervision for which more and more municipalities are signing a covenant with the tax authorities. The application fits well in our portfolio and our strategy for (semi-) government. Among other things, it is aimed at supporting municipalities to work more data-driven and – based on more insight, also to get a better grip on performance and thus be better in control. With the LIAS product suite, Inergy is market leader in the field of planning and control at municipalities. With the addition of Gemstone and earlier this year PAUW and BUIG, Inergy now offers a platform that is used by almost all Dutch municipalities”.
Wil Peters, partner at du ROI: “Municipalities increasingly have to deal with VAT, Corporate Taxes and Wage Taxes because of their wide variety of activities. Fiscal control, – risk management and – compliance do not belong to the core activities of a municipality. This cooperation and combination of portfolios ensures a broadening of the services we provide to our clients on these subjects”.
Inergy supports organizations with data and analytics services based on today’s most effective technologies. Inergy strives for long-term and successful customer relationships based on a partnership vision and co-creation. The motto is to perform better by handling data intelligently.
Inergy’s LIAS product suite offers a broad functionality in the field of Planning & Control for local governments, provinces, water boards and education. With this tool LIAS is market leader in the Dutch municipalities. Lias helps municipalities to set goals, analyse results and provide online insight into reports for a large group of stakeholders, from policymakers to councilors and citizens.
