Main Capital backs a strategic combination between Alfa and Joliv, creating a leading SaaS player in the Swedish care market. The combination creates a one-stop-shop offering for the Swedish care market helping care providers and municipalities to further improve the quality of care provision.

Joliv was founded in 1999 and is based in Västerås, Sweden. The company provides a range of eHealth solutions servicing over 120 clients primarily in the elderly care market including over 40 municipalities and regions. The company recently won a large tender with Stockholms Stad. Joliv offers a broad portfolio of innovative IT solutions contributing to a safe and quality-assured work environment for care providers with reduced administration needs and more time for personal meetings with patients. Joliv’s largest product is Mobil OMSORG, a SaaS solution that enables high quality planning and support to home, elderly and social care.

The combined group will create a leading Swedish software provider for the care segment servicing more than 500 Swedish care institutions including joint clients such as Attendo and Ambea. The joint product offering creates a one-stop-shop offering in the Swedish care market further adding value and increasing efficiency in the daily care processes of the clients. This supports care providers in navigating the digital transition of the healthcare sector and dealing with costs pressures arising from an ageing population.

Alfa has an organic growth strategy complemented with smart strategic acquisitions focused on creating a leading player in the Nordic care market. Main Capital supports the group with this strategy leveraging its experience in the European healthcare market with investments in other software groups like Enovation, SDB Group, RVC Medical IT and previously owned Regas.

Albert Winter (Managing Director of Alfa Group): “The combination with Joliv creates a lot of value and possibilities for our joint customer base as well as strengthens our positioning in the market as the end-to-end strategic software partner in the care market. We look forward to building an innovative and successful future together with Joliv.”

Christian Strömblad (Executive Chairman of Joliv): I look forward to build an even stronger team together, where Joliv can continue on its successful strategy to become a leading brand in this industry and support our customer’s digitalization journey with great products and service. Joliv, with our purpose driven culture, recognized products, skilled expertise, and ability to speak our customer’s language, plays an important part in achieving this with our new partners”

Charly Zwemstra (Managing Partner Main Capital): “The combination of Joliv and Alfa creates a leading care software provider in the Swedish market and the combined offering will allow for adding further sustainable and strategic value to the end customers. Together with the joint management team of the combined Alfa Group we will keep working towards adding further value to the clients through expanding and developing the product offering both organically and by acquisitions.”
