The Hague/ the Netherlands, 26 July 2012,Main Capital, has finalized an extended 1st closing of software focused Private equity fund Main Capital III on € 12 million. Investors in Main Capital III include Swiss based institutional Fund of Fund investor Akina and a number of families and wealthy entrepreneurs.The target size of Main Capital III is € 60 million. Main Capital Partners will invest at least € 3,5 million in the fund.
The focus will be on profitable growing software companies with substantial client and revenue base. One of the reasons for the first closing is the enormous deal flow of Main Capital in the software industry. The full focus on the software industry makes Main Capital the most knowledgeable and most differentiated private equity firm in The Netherlands. Main Capital III expects to close a first investment in a buyout of Dutch based international software firm in August. Besides a successful extended 1st closing Main Capital has also achieved other successes in the last several months, by selling two of its portfolio companies; insurance software maker Actuera to Waterland Private Equity and Tedopress to Finish listed Etteplan.
