Main Capital has acquired a majority stake in Exxellence and SMQ, formerly part of the Kune Group. Together, Exxellence and SMQ will form the Exxellence Groep. Exxellence is an important provider of software solutions with which governments and semi-public organizations can work more efficiently and optimize their services and centralize the civillian. SMQ advises on Dutch Taxes (WOZ), Real Estate (BAG), Civil Affairs (BRP) and the Environment Act (DSO) and thus offers a complementary service in addition to Exxellence software products.

About Exxellence and SMQ

Exxellence and SMQ, both based in Hengelo, were until recently both part of the Kune Group. Kune was founded in 2001 as a merger between Exxellence and SMQ. The Exxellence Groep has more than 100 employees and serves more than 120 customers throughout the Netherlands, ranging from municipalities and water boards to housing corporations and healthcare institutions. Customer examples are the municipality of Utrecht, the Municipal Tax Office Twente, the environmental service region Utrecht, the municipality of Tilburg and the country of Curacao.

Exxellence Groep has a clear focus on municipalities and other semi-public bodies. Through its case management system and self-service CRM, Exxellence Groep enables its customers to connect governments and civilians, as well as systems and processes, while making use of experts and smart tools. In addition to software solutions, the Exxellence Groep carries out projects in the fields of WOZ, BAG and BRP through consultancy, secondment and process outsourcing. The products and services offered by the Exxellence Groep optimally support governments in the DSO transition.
