This year’s Main software 50 is again a great success. There is a lot of interest from media and the business community and each year more companies sign up. Also this year Main Capital and trade organisation Netherland ICT have joined their efforts to organize the event. For the 3rd year in a row, Main Capital Partners presents the Main software 50, an annual ranking of the most successful independent Dutch product software companies. This year again, the software industry shows a strong growth and increasing international turnover. This proves once again that the sector is a fundamental part of the Dutch economy.

The Main Software 50 makes this top sector more visible to a wider audience. HRM-software company Raet is the overall winner of the 2014 edition. RES Software has become the second finalist, they specialize in Workspace Virtualization software (remote working). VeliQ has finished third, they provide software for Mobile Device Management (MDM). This year, as well as last year, two extra categories exist apart from the overall winners; for the Highest Growth and the Cloud Champion. The Highest Growth award this year goes to Xebialabs, with a revenue growth of over 102%. The award for Cloud Champion goes to Uptrends, 100% of their turnover is cloud related.

Winnaars Main Software 50

Earlier editions of the Main software 50 have generated much interest from domestic and foreign parties. Among others customers, governments, strategic partners and investors have responded enthusiastically to the list. IT investigator Dialogic is our audit partner in the creation of the list to guarantee independence. There are 5 criteria for the ranking: 1) size, 2) growth 3) level of recurring revenue 4) internationalization and 5) profitability. Next year we will definitely come back with the 2015 edition of the Main Software 50. We hope to attract even more enthusiastic participants and people who are interested than this year. Besides all the interesting events that we organize, we are going to raise our new fund of EUR 75 million in early 2015. With this fund we will make more investments in the software sector.
